Crazy Weekend II....back with a vengence!
Then I went to work....bumbumbuh!!!!
It was supposed to be busy and we usually have six cooks on the line. The some circumstances out of my control we were wittled to four good cooks.... What was alright I can deal with it.((it's the foodservice you learn to make do(and God is still on throne even if I am short two cooks)so how do you like the parenthesis?)) Then it got crazy, our main drain,(let's all be adults here....) that is connected to the hotel froze backing up the whole system. We soon hand standing water in the resteraunt(Sp?) I had cooks walking in 2-3" on water....oh yeah.... too make a long story short several shop vacs full of water, a few confrontations, and couple of phone calls later finally we got a plumber and he was able to get the drains snaked... Disaster diverted... Then I was able to go sleep with my two faithful kitties...
So I woke up this morning made some coffee and thought finally I get to sit through a Bible study in Menomonie, Praise God.(I missed last Sunday and Wednesday because of the weather.) I went out started the car, got some donuts, and started heading for Jesus Fellowship when I heard a strange noise.... caaarap it is a flat tire... Oh Well, I smiled to myself thinking I will just change it out and try to brave it on the spare... I started jacking up the car and something didn't seem quite right so I started letting it down.... Meanwhile... I see a vehicle that looks a lot like someone I know drive pass me... I then ponder if it was him or not... yep.. has Wisconsin License Plates....must be... Then I finish letting the car down I get to the bottom and my jack snaps in half.... Not so good what do I do now? Well, you look at your back tire and see that is flat too!! Sooo, I wait for help... no help. I have no choice but to drive on it....I drive a little ways and then the heavens open up and I see house that has three extra large Garages. I bet He has a hydraulic jack... he did and came and helped me out...
I just got a hold of Carrie on the phone. I'm still alive and God is still good.....

Let it snow.....
Just got my wife back..... On Friday my wife asked me what I thoughrabout her doing ome radio work. "Sure," I replied knowing that the Radio Ministry has a very small window to try to get things done. She asked about the weather....I figured the weather was going to be wrong again. Like it was two days before hand when it was 50 degrees. Then it snowed... mi espouso couldn't even attempt to make it home safely until this morning...
My car is gone... Friday, after I looked outside and it was clear, no snow. Then two hours later checked again and 6-7" fell, I thought, "crap was I wrong"... Well at least I get to make it to my nice warm house... Not sooo.... I drove a 1 1/2 miles up the road(from Perkin's)and my car took a poop. Then I walked to Mike's house and asked for a ride home (which was an adventure in itself) There was nothing that I could do, in the weather, to rescue my car. The next morning when Mike picked me up for work... he told me that it was still there... I was so happy... but as we got closer we saw that there were two tow trucks next where my car is supposed to be...
(I say supposed to be because my car was nowhere to be seen... just a mountain of snow because it was plowed in) Mike asked me if I wanted to stop... I said no because the two tow truck drivers earned their $80 by digging the American Dream (my car) out from all of that snow....
Everything is a mess, but they mention God... So being that my other half was in Menomonie, I stole rides from Mike all weekend, Sunday I ended my shift at "The Perk"
at 12am, I decided that I should walk home. Home from "The Perk" is about 5-6 miles away... it wasn't snowing and there wasn't a wind and I didn't want to wear out my welcome with my friends that were so nice to me... I dreaded it, but a man has to do what a man has to do... It was a great walk and I was so blessed looking and seeing the way that the snow was clinging to the trees. There were places where people used a snow blower and the snow level was at my hip. Along the walk there were places where people didn't finish the sidewalk out to the road and I had to scale a big mountain of snow(I was laughing because I felt like I was in third grade)
My favorite part of the walk altogether was this spot where bunch of rich people live a long the lake and they have these big English Contemporary houses. At this house they have two pillars and on the top, lamps. Then systematically up to the house along the drive and past the guest house that had more lamp posts...and the lamps gave light to these cool trees about 8" tall that collected the snow on their limbs... it was picture perfect... I almost felt like I was in the Chronicles of Narnia, where there is snow everywhere and then there is a lamp in the middle of nowhere.
Altogether it was a crazy weekend with all this snow, but it was a lot of fun in the same aspect...

Post of the Century!!!!!
"It is amazing that so many people believe global warming is caused by humans. This myth has been largely promoted by the major media that gives much attention to those who support it and very little to hose who debunk it."
"For example, in December, Senator James Inholfe of O.K. Chaired a " Climate change and the Media" meeting. He states that global warming is a hoax. the meeting received almost or no major media attention."
"At this meeting, Dr. David Deming, a geophysicist at the University of Okalahoma, stated, " I was contacted by a reporter for N.P.R.. He offered to interview me, but only if I would state that the warming was due to human activity. When I refused to do so, he hung up on me."
"Deming also said that he received an astonishing e-mail from a major researsher in climate change that read," We have to get rid of the Mideval Warm Period where the world was warm or warmer that it is today. But it is an obstacle to those maintaining that the current warming trend is abnormal. People who want to hear the other side can go to http://www.oism.org/pproject/s33p41.htm for a scientific debunking of global warming. Also, listed are names of more than 17,000 scientists. meteorologists, adn other technical people who have sihned a petitiom stating there is convincing scientific evidence to support global warming" ----Robert W. Van deWolfe
Sorry fro such a serious post, but it just goes to show that sometimes the media rules in the U.S. if it is the truth or not...

Bible Study!
So we started the study last week I expected it just to be the solid quintet, but low and behold we sat down and we had a lot of people pop in on the study.....we had seven new people.....so I asked, How did you find out about the study? They replied," the chalkings" how sweet is that. So we ventured through Colossians Chapter 2 tonight, we had three of the same faces and a new one....so God blessed us again.....how cool is that? I would ask that for your prayers that I would continue to teach solid Bible Studies and pray for some of the Bible Study attendees because they are getting smacked around a bit......however Paul does talk a little about that in Romans 5:3-5. " We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us-they help us learn to endure. 4 And endurance develops strength of character in us, and character strengthens our confident expectation of salvation. 5 And this expectation will not disappoint us. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love"
I know that a lot of you fervently pray for us......I just want to thank you for your prayers.

Things that you don't know about monkeys.....
Start with a cage containing five monkeys.
In the cage, hang a banana on a string and put a set of stairs under it. Before long, a monkey will go to the stairs and start to climb towards the banana. As soon as he touches the stairs, spray all of the monkeys with cold water. After awhile, another monkey makes an attempt with the same result - all the monkeys are sprayed with cold water. Pretty soon, if another monkey tries to climb the stairs, the other monkeys will try to prevent it.
Now, turn off the cold water. Remove one monkey from the cage and replace it with a new one. The new monkey sees the banana and wants to climb the stairs. To his horror, all of the other monkeys attack him. After another attempt and attack, he knows that if he tries to climb the stairs, he will be assaulted.
Next, remove another of the original five monkeys and replace it with a new one. The newcomer goes to the stairs and is attacked. The previous newcomer takes part in the punishment with enthusiasm. Again, replace a third original monkey with a new one. The new one makes it to the stairs and is attacked as well. Two of the four monkeys that beat him have no idea why they were not permitted to climb the stairs, or why they are participating in the beating of the newest monkey. After replacing the fourth and fifth original monkeys, all the monkeys that have been sprayed with cold water have been replaced. Nevertheless, no monkey ever again approaches the stairs.
Why not? Because that is the way it has always been.
